Doom 3 Review: I waited for this game to come out for probably a year or more, and being a mainstay moderator for WonderdogSoftware.Com I missed the release date by almost a month. Finally got my hands on my own copy and pleased to say, have been "milking" it for all it's worth. I tend to play a chapter or so per day to make the games I really enjoy last. This one is on the top of my list of enjoyable first person shooters. Though I felt the choice of level design and story direction almost too close to be called something different than the "Half Life" original, that title as well is and always will be way at the top of my list of re-playable virtual spelunking and shooting so I didn't feel short changed in the least. As a matter of fact, the graphics engine & detail with lighting etc, (though bulky and requiring much more -JUICE- to keep us up to date with modern technology) is in my opinion an absolute coding masterpiece. The sound track and inside menu designs felt me reminiscing some of my Diablo 2 days for some reason, but originality is still a strong player in the overall game design. Note to parents (and even some adults), I was warned this game is kinda spooky, and shunned the thought with my years of both designing and playing titles, but have to shamefully admit, this thing has some really freaky and shocking moments. SO BEWARE, MUWAHHAHAHAHA!
